Sho: Barton aims for final berth
Skeet shooter GEORGE BARTON hopes to emulate Australian teammate WARREN POTENT'S stunning
improvement from the last Olympics.
POTENT finished a lowly 42nd in Athens .. but yesterday won Australia's first medal
in the 50m rifle prone event when he took bronze.
BARTON made an impressive start to the skeet event yesterday .. scoring 71 from a possible
75 in the first three rounds of qualifying.
He's sixth .. just two shots behind American leader VINCENT HANCOCK.
BARTON finished 29th in the skeet at Athens .. his Olympic debut.
