Vic: Napthine issues challenge to Bracks over small business

Victorian Opposition leader DENIS NAPTHINE has challenged Premier STEVE BRACKS to debate
what he says is the government's anti-small business stance.

Dr NAPTHINE received a round of applause at today's Liberal Party state council meeting
where he issued the challenge.

He says he wants Mr BRACKS to debate the issues which are damaging small business,
including higher Workcover premiums and the proposed introduction of a flat rate land
tax.

He's also called on the state government to stop fighting with the federal government
on issues such as the Scoresby Freeway and to start work on it and other public sector
projects.

Dr NAPTHINE says the Liberal Party needs to work together from the grass roots and
listen to the community to avoid making the mistakes of the previous KENNETT government.
